Live on Atlantic, is the City of Virginia Beach’s action packed program of community events. That are designed to bring the community of Virginia Beach together in order to create memories of a lifetime. The program takes place from the middle of June:
Each year activities and events are held as part of the event, from the middle of June, up until Labor Day.

While events are on, if you head to the sidewalks of Atlantic Avenue, you’ll get to watch a wide variety of street performers entertaining the crowds with magic shows, juggling and musical acts. There will even be costumed characters roaming around the sidewalks, that your children will love, if you have a family.
There is a Latin festival:
Each year one of the most popular events on offer is La Fiesta Virginia Beach, which was formerly known as Latin Fest. Which offers authentic Latin cuisine from a wide variety of Latin countries as well as Latin music, that you’ll want to get up and dance to. To watch the live performances which are on offer, head to the 24th street park. Also make sure to take some spare change with you as the event features plenty of market stalls where you’ll be able to purchase gifts and handicrafts for yourself or loved ones.

No matter what style of music you’re a fan of, you’ll be spoilt for choice as there are a wide variety of concerts that are put on for Live on Atlantic, throughout the duration of the program. If you can only attend a single concert, it’s well worth planning to go to the American Music Festival. Which attracts some of the best local artists as well as popular out of state artists.
There is a family focused adventure challenge:
The Family Great Adventure Series was inspired by the Amazing Race and will allow your family to take part in a wide variety of fun activities that will get your family to work together in order to try and beat the other families of competitors. So if you and your family have a competitive streak, this is the event for your family.
