The Friday Family Great Adventures Series is all about Discovery and Entertainment at the Virginia Beach oceanfront!  On select nights during the summer, families can take part in an interactive adventure that leads them to various sites along the boardwalk and Atlantic Avenue to unravel a mystery.  During each adventure, participants can dress up as characters, use “brain and brawn” to win the contest at hand, and settle into the sand for a family-friendly movie shown on a giant inflatable screen on the beach!  

Friday, August 6 – Super Safari

Meet on the beach at 27th Street at 6:00pm
6:00pm-8:00pm, scavenger safari
8:00pm-10:00pm, movie

Discover a little bit of Africa right here in Virginia Beach as you embark on a wild “Safari!”  Then, root for those loveable characters from “Madagascar” as they make their way from the Zoo to the Savanna and learn about their true heritage.

This sequel brings back lovable New York Zoo animals Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, and Gloria the Hippo. Still stranded in Madagascar, they manage to leave the island only to land in the wilderness of Africa. There, Alex meets the rest of his family but has trouble communicating after his time at the Central Park Zoo in this hilarious animated adventure.
